Two divers from Jaworze and the surrounding area — Bartłomiej Bartnicki and Stanisław Golba — are establishing the “Polish Subsurface Initiative” Foundation (PSI for short — like the Greek letter Ψ, which looks like a trident).
PSI stands on three pillars — education, ecology and exploration. We want to teach safe diving, clean up Polish waters and document what lies beneath the surface.
How is a foundation set up?
The founders make a declaration establishing the foundation before a notary and endow it with founding capital. They also give the foundation its statute and appoint its first governing bodies: a one-person Board (President of the Board — Bartłomiej Bartnicki) and the Foundation Council, which supervises and audits the Board (chaired by Stanisław Golba). The Board then applies for entry in the National Court Register (KRS) — the foundation acquires legal personality upon registration.
